ABSi caught up with the pretty athlete at a recent Friendster event at the Ascend Bar in Bonifacio High Street. "It's a busy time, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Although honestly, I haven't had time for myself yet," she admits. Gaby is currently busy with TV guestings, out-of-town shows, and she's also gearing up for her new show that will come out in February. "Para siyang mala-Discovery channel like of show. Ganun yung hilig ko. May travel and adventure," she adds.

Being an athlete at heart, Gaby looks forward to being active in her sports again. "I'm playing in an all-women's Ultimate Frisbee tournament for the next month and then my flag football league will also start it's regular season end of February all throughout summer," GabydelaMercedshe excitedly shares. Gaby has played quarterback for her flag football team ever since she joined the sport five years ago. "It's one of the things I really missed while inside the house. I kept thinking about the games and what's happening to my team," she recalls. Although she brought her own football inside the house, she wasn't able to use it. "Tinago nila yung bola ko! Hindi ko mahanap!" she exclaims. Gaby also admits to taking a liking to some new sports like Muay Thai, paintball and capoeira.

Although admittedly single at the moment, Gaby says she is happy with her life and career. But when it comes to her love life, it seems Gaby has been linked to more than her fair share of celebrity heartthrobs as well. Victor Neri, Diether Ocampo, Onemig Bondoc and Derek Ramsay are the usual names that pop up whether she's guesting on a talk show or doing a magazine interview. GabydelaMerced"Hindi ko nga alam where they get their information. But I'm really good friends with all of them. I know it sounds gasgas na, but it's true. I get along well with guys. I play sports. I just don't know how the stories turn out na may ganyang angle," she states.

As for her PBB experience, Gaby is very thankful about the whole thing, despite only winning 2nd runner-up in the Big Night. "It was really a learning experience. Ang dami kong natutunan sa sarili ko. Para talaga siyang rehab," she confesses. Based on the recent success of her fans day at Big Shot Billiards in Quezon city, it's only now that Gaby realizes that she really has a growing fan base. "Hindi ko iniisip kasi yun. Pero I'm happy that people liked me for me. It was really one big experience that I'm glad I got to do," she humbly says.
